The predicted salary is between 14.23 - 14.23 £ per hour.

Location: ST4

Working Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm

Rate of pay: Up to £14.23ph for experienced workers

Contract type: Temporary for up to 6 - 8 weeks

Adecco are looking for experienced Kiln Operatives to support our clients busy team based in ST4. This is a temporary position for an expected 6 - 8 weeks, starting ASAP.

As a Kiln Operative, you will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring products are safely loaded, fired, unloaded, and inspected to the highest quality standards. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will support kiln operations while maintaining excellent standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Load and unload ware into kiln cars/racking safely and efficiently.
  • Operate kilns in accordance with production schedules and operating procedures.
  • Monitor firing cycles and report any faults or abnormalities.
  • Inspect products before and after firing for quality issues and defects.
  • Handle ware carefully to minimise breakages and waste.
  • Maintain accurate production records where required.
  • Carry out routine housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including manual handling guidelines.
  • Work closely with colleagues across production departments to meet manufacturing targets.
  • Support continuous improvement activities within the kiln department.
