Position: Customer Adviser
Location: Stevenage (Fully On-Site)
Working Pattern: Full Time (Shifts between 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, with one Saturday approximately every 8-12 weeks)

What You'll Do:

  • As a Customer Adviser, you will be the first point of contact for Hertfordshire citizens and businesses eager to access council services.
  • Handling diverse customer inquiries through telephone and e-Service channels.
  • Providing accurate advice and assistance with a friendly demeanour.
  • Logging customer requests efficiently and effectively.
  • Supporting the digitization of services to enhance user experience.
  • Ensuring compliance with agreed processes to maintain high standards of service delivery.

What We're Looking For:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Both verbal and written, with the ability to converse comfortably with the public.
  • Good Telephone Skills: A pleasant phone manner that promotes a positive customer interaction.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a contact centre or customer-facing role is a plus!
  • PC Literacy: Strong keyboard skills and comfort with technology.
  • Multi-Channel Proficiency: Familiarity with webchat and social media platforms for customer engagement.
  • Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
