Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all deliveries and collections meet customer expectations with utmost professionalism.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers to develop a forward-thinking transport strategy.
- Fully adopt and utilise chosen systems to optimise route efficiency.
- Understand all resources and procedures to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Work closely with Transport Controllers to manage compliance issues effectively.
- Drive cost savings on fuel and transport-related expenses, including agency drivers.
- Communicate proactively with Branch Managers and Sales regarding new site openings and high-volume collections.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in Transport Planning, ideally managing a fleet of up to 20 vehicles with 6-15 deliveries and collections per day.
- Strong knowledge of London postcodes and a solid understanding of the South East Road Network.
- Familiarity with vehicle capabilities for both vans and lorries.
- Ability to create and modify vehicle schedules based on business needs.
- Understanding of vehicle compliance, including organising PMIs, MOTs, and tail lift thorough inspections.
- Well-organised, detail-conscious, and flexible, with a passion for making a difference.
- Experience dealing with challenging internal and external customers.
- Solid knowledge of local road networks.
- IT literate, with an understanding of our product range being a plus.
- A valid driving licence is desirable.
