Location: Staines TW18 4LY

Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour

Working Days: Monday - Sunday

Shifts: Earlies: 6am - 2pm, Lates: 2pm - 10pm. Flexibility will be needed for start and finish times.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our team as Customer Service Assistants. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of Southwestern Railway, helping create a safe, positive, and friendly station environment for all passengers.

Working at our automatic ticket gate lines, you will support customers with confidence and professionalism, ensuring smooth station operations while always delivering excellent customer service.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide a warm, friendly welcome to all customers entering the station
  • Ensure passengers have the correct and valid rail tickets for travel
  • Operate automatic ticket gates safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a safe station environment, identifying and reporting risks (slips, trips, falls)
  • Assist passengers with enquiries, offering clear guidance or seeking support from SWR staff if needed
  • Carry out station security searches and stay vigilant around gate lines
  • Apply HOT and WHAT protocols and follow Stay Safe briefings
  • Report unusual behaviour or suspicious items in line with security procedures
