Operations Administrator to join a busy and growing business based in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is a varied role supporting both logistics and purchasing functions, requiring excellent administration skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics
- Coordinate courier, pallet, haulage and specialist transport bookings
- Track deliveries and obtain proof of delivery documentation
- Investigate delivery issues, shortages, damages and service failures
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, transport providers and internal teams
- Maintain transport records and operational documentation
- Support logistics reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Purchasing
- Produce stock replenishment and purchasing reports
- Monitor purchase orders and chase outstanding deliveries
- Support supplier administration and maintain accurate records
- Assist with inventory checks and stock management activities
- Investigate stock discrepancies and support corrective actions
- Maintain purchasing data and system information
About You
- Previous administration experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Able to multitask and prioritise workloads effectively
- Proactive, reliable and eager to learn
- Customer-focused with a professional approach
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
