We are recruiting for a Housing Registration Administrative Officer to join a busy Housing Register & Allocations Service, providing vital administrative support to ensure housing applications, enquiries, and records are processed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Provide efficient administrative support to the Housing Register & Allocations team. Process housing applications, correspondence, and enquiries accurately and within required timescales. Maintain and update databases and electronic records, ensuring information is accurate and compliant with data protection requirements. Respond to telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries from residents and partner organisations. Produce clear and accurate written correspondence. Manage and prioritise a varied workload in a fast-paced environment. Support service delivery by identifying opportunities for administrative and process improvements. Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Work collaboratively with colleagues, housing providers, and external agencies to support residents' housing needs.Essential Skills & Experience We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate: Experience providing administrative support within a busy office or service environment. Experience handling customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face channels. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service skills and a helpful, solution-focused approach. Experience working with sensitive and confidential information. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, databases, and case management systems. Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative. Experience prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment. Ability to remain professional and empathetic when supporting vulnerable residents.Desirable Experience Experience within housing, local government, or the wider public sector. Knowledge of Housing Register and Allocations services. Understanding of social housing, homelessness, or housing-related services.
