Software Test Engineer: 5 Month Contract: Manchester/Hybrid

Software Test Engineer for a 5 month remote project (Outside IR35). You will work closely with the software development team and be responsible for creating and executing test plans and test cases for software solutions, reviewing and documenting test results, and developing and maintaining automated test scripts. You will be responsible for end to end testing of applications, investigating issues, reporting and tracking bugs, testing backend for message queues, and providing REST API automated tests.

Day Rate: Market Rates (Outside IR35)

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute test plans and test cases for software solutions.
  • Review and document test results, and develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Perform end to end testing of applications and investigate issues.
  • Report and track bugs and issues discovered during testing.
  • Test backend components including message queues and REST API endpoints.

Qualifications

  • Previous software testing experience in Java and React.
  • Experience testing in cloud-based environments including deployments and configuration of CI/CD pipelines for test runs.
  • Experience with Grafana, RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka, API testing, Kubernetes and SQL databases.
