Machine Operator (Temp to Perm) Location: Slough Trading Estate Contract: Temporary to Permanent Shift Pattern: Rotating weekly shifts - 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm and 10:00pm-6:00am Start Date: Immediate Start Available Looking for a hands-on role with long-term career prospects? We're seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join a busy production team. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is keen to develop their skills across multiple production lines. You'll be responsible for operating a range of machinery, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Operate machinery safely and efficiently in line with production schedules. Run and monitor extrusion, coating, lamination, and printing processes. Slit materials into tapes according to customer specifications and quality standards. Process materials accurately through the ERP system. Ensure all production, safety, and quality procedures are followed at all times. Maintain accurate production records and system data. Operate production lines following training and maintain flexibility across departments. Support the training and development of colleagues through cross-training initiatives. Provide holiday and sickness cover where required. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Work towards and achieve production targets and KPIs. What We're Looking For Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operating environment. Strong focus on health and safety. Basic computer skills and confidence using production systems. Good numerical and literacy skills with the ability to complete production documentation accurately. Ability to read, understand, and follow production plans and standard operating procedures. Experience moving materials using electric pump trucks and/or forklifts. Physically capable of handling heavy equipment and materials. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. Flexibility to work overtime when required. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Desirable Understanding of quality management systems. Forklift experience or certification. Experience within extrusion, lamination, coating, printing, or converting environments.
