What You'll Do
- Collaborate with legal entity F&C teams for Head Office reporting submissions.
- Standardise core legal entity reporting by identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Own and enhance sub-processes to facilitate the financial close process, including intercompany reports and reconciliations.
- Provide high-quality analytical support to aid senior management in decision-making.
- Engage with external auditors to ensure a thorough understanding of financial statements and deliver audit evidence.
- Drive change initiatives and optimise working practises across the team.
- Share knowledge proactively across teams to keep everyone informed and engaged.

What We’re Looking For
- A
- Fully Qualified Accountant
(ACA or CIMA) or equivalent with experience in Management or Financial Reporting.
- Experience in automating manual processes within the reporting domain is highly valued.
- Banking experience is essential, particularly within investment banking or financial services audit.
- Strong technical accounting and financial control knowledge, with a knack for impactful presentations of complex issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with familiarity in Microsoft Access.
- A proactive problem-solver who thrives under pressure and meets demanding deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build effective relationships across various business functions.
- Comfort in switching between international and Japanese accounting standards is a plus!
