We're working with a well-established and growing industrial business based in Deeside, specialising in materials processing and recycling. The company plays a key role in supporting sustainable supply chains, handling high volumes of materials and ensuring quality standards are consistently met across operations.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Quality Control Assistant to join their busy and hands-on site team.

The Role

As a Quality Control Assistant, you'll be responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing materials, monitoring processes, and ensuring products meet required standards before distribution. This is a varied, practical role that involves working across the yard and engaging closely with operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products
  • Sort and examine split loads and complete associated documentation
  • Carry out basic testing and grading of materials (e.g. paper, cardboard, plastics)
  • Assist with gravimetric testing using established procedures
  • Identify and remove non-conforming materials, reporting any issues promptly
  • Support loading and unloading of containers and curtain siders (FLT use)
  • Maintain accurate quality records and photographic evidence where required
  • Carry out daily equipment checks and ensure a safe working environment
  • Support general housekeeping, stock rotation, and yard organisation
  • Step in for the Quality Inspector when required

  • FLT licence (NPORS or equivalent) essential
