Our client, a thriving manufacturing business with a longstanding history in Sheffield, is looking for a People Assistant to join their HR team! Joining an organisation where people are at the heart of everything they do, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic candidate to continue to develop their career within Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support, maintaining employee records, and handling correspondence.
- Assisting with the recruitment process: posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
- Supporting onboarding for new employees, including reference checks and probationary reviews.
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR and managing sensitive information discreetly.
- Coordinating training sessions, managing registrations, and updating the skills matrix.
- Assisting in various initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
- Providing reception cover.
- Updating policies to ensure compliance with UK employment law.
What We’re Looking For:
- HR administration experience and knowledge of recruitment and employee relations.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- A basic understanding of UK employment law and HR practices.
- Exceptional organisational skills and a structured working style.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with a 'can-do' attitude.
