The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Service Centre Supervisor to lead a busy operational team in Rainham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on people manager who enjoys leading teams, driving performance, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Service Centre, ensuring client commitments are met, productivity targets are achieved, and the team operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Service Centre Team Leaders, Operatives, Drivers and Machinists
- Ensure customer service agreements and turnaround times are consistently achieved
- Manage daily workloads and allocate resources effectively to maximise productivity
- Monitor team performance, attendance, holiday planning and absence management
- Drive a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Investigate operational issues and implement long-term solutions through root cause analysis
- Ensure all team members are trained, compliant and working to standard operating procedures
- Support recruitment, onboarding and development of new team members
- Manage vehicle compliance and ensure a roadworthy fleet is available to support customer requirements
- Complete administrative tasks including payroll information, timesheets and employee records
