Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Support Analyst to join their IT Operations and Cyber Security team.

This pivotal role focuses on enhancing day-to-day IT operations and driving digital transformation initiatives, with an emphasis on automation, data governance, and Microsoft 365, while also providing senior support for on-premises systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation, AI, and Microsoft 365
  • Enhance the Microsoft 365 environment with a focus on automation, efficiency, and secure service delivery.
  • Identify, design, build, and support Copilot and AI-driven automation solutions to streamline internal processes.
  • Collaborate with business areas to translate operational needs into practical, automated solutions.
  • Support data governance, classification, retention, and information protection using Microsoft Purview, ensuring compliance through collaboration with Data Protection specialists.
  • On-Premises Infrastructure and Core Services
  • Provide senior second and third-line support for on-premises infrastructure, including Servers, storage, and virtualized platforms.
  • Manage identity and access services, including Active Directory, group policies, and user access controls.
  • Maintain and support core network services such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Firewall infrastructure.
  • Operational Support and Continuous Improvement
  • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, ensuring effective resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Document solutions and technical changes, share knowledge, and contribute to operational maturity.
  • Conduct technical research to stay updated on Microsoft 365, automation, and security trends.
  • Build strong relationships with business areas, acting as a trusted IT partner to align technology solutions with organisational objectives.

Technical Experience Required

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess

  • Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance and compliance tools.
  • Experience in designing or supporting automation using Copilot, AI agents, Power Platform, or low-code tools.
  • Proven experience as a Senior or advanced second/third-line IT Support Analyst.
  • Strong background in supporting Microsoft 365 in a production environment.
  • Demonstrable ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining on-premises infrastructure, including Windows Server and Active Directory.
