The UK Regulatory Operations team is at the heart of ensuring our UK Mobility business remains compliant with local legislation, as well as the Operator's conditions set forth by the various regulators that license us as a Private Hire Operator, in the UK.
We are looking for a detail oriented, self starting, intellectually curious, engaging individual with a passion for problem solving, who will stress-test our existing processes, and make recommendations that take our reporting and compliance to the next level. In this role you will work closely with our Regulatory Operations, Compliance, and Community Operations teams to understand the aforementioned local regulatory requirements, and then conduct a holistic review of all of our reporting, assurance, and compliance queries. You will also work with other technical stakeholders on incoming innovations, and ensure that our processes will remain compliant into the future.
What you will do:
- Meet with internal stakeholders to gain a functional understanding of our UK's regulatory landscape, and connected reporting and compliance requirements.
- Get an overview of the internal systems and processes that we use to power its regulatory compliance in the UK.
- Conduct a review of the existing reporting, assurance, and compliance queries to seek opportunities for continuous improvements.
- Digest the details of relevant business innovations on the horizon, and develop our regulatory processes to remain compliant with these changes.
What you will need:
- At least 3 years in a data-oriented role, preferably within a regulated environment - Travel, Telecoms, Financial, Healthcare Licenced operations or adjacent business.
- Strong expertise with SQL, with the ability to review and propose improvements to existing code and processes.
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to identify code inefficiencies and test for issues, even when initial results could be reasonable.
- Ability to understand complex data structures and how data tables are interconnected.
- Organisational skills including the ability to work well under pressure and a thorough attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Google / Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent timekeeping and ability to work proactively ahead of hard deadlines.
- The ability to articulate complex issues, processes and requirements to internal technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative; able to work effectively with colleagues across a number of functional teams, and potentially across different geographies.
