Adecco are recruiting on behalf of the Local Authority for a Senior Business Analyst to support the implementation of a new Social Care Case Management System across Adults' and Children's Services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in social care systems who can quickly integrate into the programme, work independently, and support a major transformation project.

Contract Details:

  • Type: Temporary
  • Pay: £600 per day (Umbrella)
  • Location: Newham
  • Working Arrangements: Hybrid - Minimum 1-2 days per week on site
  • Hours: Full time
  • Initially offered as a 3-month contract, with the potential to extend up to 12 months.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of a new Social Care Case Management System. Working closely with programme leads, operational teams and stakeholders, you will analyse existing business processes, gather requirements, support system design and help drive improvements across Adult and Children's Social Care services. You will also play an important role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business process redesign and ensuring the successful delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities across the Social Care System implementation programme.
  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements.
  • Produce process maps, user stories, functional specifications and business documentation.
  • Analyse current and future state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders across Adults' and Children's Social Care.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defining test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Assist with business readiness, implementation planning and training activities.
  • Support data migration and reporting requirements.
  • Work independently, making informed decisions and resolving business queries as they arise.
  • Build strong working relationships with programme teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Significant experience working as a Senior Business Analyst within Local Government or Social Care.
  • Previous experience implementing Social Care Case Management Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of systems such as Liquidlogic and/or Mosaic.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business readiness activities.
  • Proven experience of business process analysis and process redesign.
  • Ability to gather, document and validate business and functional requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Able to work autonomously, make decisions and quickly become productive within an established programme.
  • Experience working across Adult Social Care is preferred, although candidates with Children's Social Care systems experience will also be considered.
  • Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience using process mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio is desirable.

  • Basic DBS is required.

  • Candidates must be able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
