Your Role
We're looking for a talented and driven Senior Bridges Engineer to help elevate our bridge engineering capabilities and position our team as a leader in the UK market. With a strong pipeline of high-profile projects and blue-chip clients, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead bridge design projects from feasibility through to detailed design and cost estimation
- Conduct bridge inspections and structural assessments
- Review and verify design and assessment work
- Develop analytical models and perform structural calculations
- Prepare technical reports and health & safety risk assessments
- Mentor and support junior engineers to ensure high-quality project delivery
- Oversee CAD/BIM technicians in producing technical drawings and models
- Undertake site visits as required
About You
- Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng, MSc or equivalent)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng ICE or IStructE), or working towards chartership
- Passionate about contributing to the growth and success of our UK Bridges team
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of DMRB and MCDHW for highway structures
- Experience preparing Technical Approval documentation
- Proficient in Eurocodes for bridge and civil structure design
- Skilled in the design and assessment of steel, reinforced, and prestressed concrete bridges
- Familiar with structural analysis and design software (e.g., Midas, LUSAS, Autodesk SBD)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
