Senior Accountant – Energy Sector
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Contract: Immediate start, ongoing role with potential extension beyond December
Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career. Our client, a leading organisation within the energy sector, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a fast-paced, international environment, supporting core financial operations and leading a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare yearly Budget and the monthly Forecast
- Prepare monthly management accounts and maintain robust financial controls
- Oversee cash flow management and budgeting processes
- Coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns
- Manage the relationship with the statutory auditor for the Financial Statements audit
- Review and manage invoices relating to client operations and liquids sales
- Lead and support a team of finance assistants, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Assist the Finance Manager with financial planning, analysis, and reporting
About You
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working within a multi-cultural, collaborative environment
