Protein Scientist
Are you ready to step into an exciting role that combines your passion for protein science with innovative biotechnological solutions? Join a dynamic and collaborative protein production team for a temporary contract.

Role Overview:
You'll play a crucial role in a protein production team, supporting the delivery of a vital protein production process. This one-year contract offers hands-on experience with a variety of downstream processing techniques including protein chromatography and membrane filtration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the protein production team to deliver gramme quantities of purified recombinant protein for critical commercial projects.
- Provide hands-on support during large-scale protein production campaigns.
- Conduct analytical methods to validate final outputs against defined specifications.
- Accurately record results in line with company standards.
- Prepare technical reports and actively communicate findings within project groups and the broader scientific community.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Education & Experience:
- – Bachelor's degree in relevant sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical, etc.).
– Good theoretical knowledge of recombinant protein expression and chromatography techniques (affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, size exclusion).
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
– Excellent communication and planning abilities.
Desirable Experience:
- – Master's degree or 1-2 years of lab experience in relevant areas
- – Familiarity with data management tools (eg, Benchling) and analysis software (eg, JMP)
- – Experience with scalable bioprocess technologies (eg, TFF, Hollow fibre).
