Our client, a vibrant school in Whaplode, South Holland, is seeking a dedicated School Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support in a temporary full-time role.

Job Purpose: As a School Administrator, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency of the school office, focusing on financial administration and compliance. Your organisational prowess will help keep everything running smoothly!
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Duties: Be the friendly first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Efficiently manage correspondence, emails, and telephone calls. Maintain accurate pupil records and assist with admissions and attendance. Prepare and distribute letters, reports, and newsletters. Organise meetings, take minutes, and manage senior staff diaries.
- Finance Duties: Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments in accordance with school financial procedures. Monitor and reconcile school budgets, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping. Assist with payroll administration and liaise with external providers. Prepare financial reports for the Headteacher and Governors. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements.
- Other Duties: Support with school events and activities to foster community spirit. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies at all times.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in school administration or a similar role is essential.
- Knowledge of school finance systems (e.g., SIMS, FMS, arbour) is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to keep everything on track.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with our school community.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
