We are seeking a hands-on, organised, and proactive Stores Controller to join a growing manufacturing business on the outskirts of Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the centre of operations - ensuring materials flow efficiently, teams are supported, and processes run smoothly.
The Role
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of materials and components
- Maintain accurate stock control using ERP systems
- Work closely with Production and Purchasing to ensure stock availability
- Supervise and support packing and despatch operatives
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and ISO 9001 compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure safe operation of equipment, including forklifts where applicable
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory control role (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong understanding of stock control systems and processes
- Ability to lead, train, and support team members effectively
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
