Are you ready to make a real difference in the community? Our client North Wales Police are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Logistics & Maintenance Operative to join their team in St Asaph! Role Purpose:
As a Logistics & Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in providing a logistics service that ensures the safe, secure, and efficient movement of vehicles, goods, and people within the force area. You will also be responsible for general caretaking and minor maintenance duties, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and security of designated areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport & Movement: Safely and securely transport mail, archive material, documentation, vehicles, and supplies from stores, as well as seized, found, and forensic property.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all buildings and grounds meet current health and safety standards. Conduct regular housekeeping checks and log safety equipment, including fire alarms and security systems.
- Maintenance Monitoring: Regularly check building fixtures, fittings, and mechanical/electrical plants in line with health and safety standards and maintenance schedules.
- Hazard Management: Monitor designated grounds, vehicle movement areas, and public walkways, ensuring they are free from slip and trip hazards.
- Porter & Handy Person Services: Provide a porter and handy person service, handling furniture, equipment, and minor repairs, while performing preventative maintenance on the buildings and grounds.
