Position: Refuse Collection Driver
Location: Wandsworth
Working Hours: 6 am to 3 pm, Monday - Friday
Employment Type: Full Time - Temporary
What You'll Do:
- Operating a refuse collection vehicle with a valid HGV Class 2 driving licence.
- Supporting refuse loaders during collections to ensure timely route completion.
- Carrying out refuse and recycling collections daily, utilising your knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.
- Employing safe lifting and handling techniques for all articles left for removal.
- Using in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed, keeping up with real-time updates.
- Completing relevant paperwork promptly and accurately.
- Conducting daily inspections of machinery and vehicles before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of all machinery and vehicles.
- Fostering excellent relationships with the public and other motor users, ensuring a positive experience for all.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points).
- Driver CPC certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and willing to assist your team.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to various tasks.
- Clean driving record is desirable.
