The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Office Manager to take ownership of the efficient running of a busy Reading office. This is a varied, hands-on role covering office management, HR administration, finance, Health & Safety, quality and compliance. You will work closely with senior leadership and have the autonomy to manage priorities, resolve issues and identify improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the office, facilities, suppliers and contractors.
- Act as a key point of contact for staff, visitors and clients.
- Coordinate onboarding, inductions, training, holiday and absence administration.
- Manage timesheets, expenses, invoicing and purchase ledger administration.
- Lead office Health & Safety, including risk assessments, DSE checks, audits and incident reporting.
- Support the Business Management System and ISO 9001 requirements, including audits and document control.
- Coordinate IT equipment and new starter setup.
- Provide administrative and project support to senior leaders.
About You
- Previous experience in an Office Manager, Business Operations or similar autonomous role.
- Experience with Health & Safety and compliance within an office environment.
- Experience working with ISO 9001 or another formal management system.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Comfortable handling confidential information and managing multiple priorities.
