Location: London (2 days per week onsite)

Contract Details: Temporary, Initial 6 Months (Likely Extensions)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise market data publishing applications.
  • Dive deep into a large-scale C# application framework, ensuring top-notch performance.
  • Support market data publication processes, guaranteeing accurate data across multiple internal platforms.
  • Maintain market data entitlements and distribution to downstream systems efficiently.
  • Work on strategic initiatives, including migrating legacy publishing processes to a central platform.
  • Collaborate with Quantitative Research, Front Office, Market Data, and IT teams to foster synergy.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle - from design and development to testing and deployment.
  • Provide ongoing support for critical market data platforms that drive business success.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Quantitative Developer in a financial services environment.
  • Proficient in C# development, with a knack for contributing to large application libraries and enterprise systems.
  • Experience in developing applications within real-time or market-facing platforms is essential.
  • Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, and object-oriented development.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to market data platforms or market data publishing environments.
  • Familiarity with at least one asset class such as Rates, Fixed Income, FX, or Inflation Products.
  • Python development experience is highly advantageous.
  • Understanding of market data entitlements and distribution processes is a plus.
  • Experience supporting interconnected front-office platforms.

Education:

  • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or Computer Science.
  • A postgraduate qualification (PhD, MSc, or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.
