Job Description:
My Fleetwood based client, an internationally recognised leader in their field, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join their procurement team.
This role is integral to ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services. The successful candidate will support the delivery of the procurement team\’s strategy and objectives.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Processing purchase orders accurately and promptly.
- Following up on outstanding deliveries and expediting where necessary.
- Managing Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes.
- Identifying and acting upon cost reduction opportunities.
- Supporting the development of preferred supplier lists to meet commercial and business performance objectives.
- Assisting in the identification and onboarding of new suppliers.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and supplier information.
- Assisting in developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.
- Resolving issues related to orders and invoicing.
- Addressing supplier complaints.
- Preparing reports as required.
- Providing administrative support to the purchasing team.
- Maintaining reports and procurement data accurately.
- Supporting the procurement team in achieving savings targets and objectives, reviewed annually and aligned with forecasted spend.
The ideal candidate:
Proven experience in purchasing administration.
Advantageous experience:
Experience within multinational, corporate, aerospace, pharmaceutical, electronics, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, flexible hours between 08:00 and 17:00 (e.g., 08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00).
Hybrid work options available up to 3 days per week from home.
This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
