Our client, a leading financial institution based in Japan, is seeking a talented individual to join their Corporate Credit Risk Team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse range of financial services and make a significant impact on risk management within the Natural Resources sector!

Contract Details:

  • Position: Corporate Credit Risk Portfolio Manager/AVP
  • Location: London/Hybrid (minimum of 3 days in the office)
  • Contract Length: Until November 12, 2025
  • Salary: Day rate from £350 via Umbrella Company, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary analyst for a specified portfolio of clients in the Natural Resources sector, focusing on Commodity Traders.
  • Oversee credit applications and approval processes, monitoring emerging credit developments in collaboration with the Front Office.
  • Provide critical insights and recommendations to credit approvers, ensuring robust risk management.
  • Collaborate across teams to maintain a comprehensive view of risk.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education & Qualifications: Degree level education and/or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, ACT, CFA).
  • Experience: Proven track record in a credit management role (1st or 2nd line) with strong credit analysis skills.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with corporate loan products, trade finance products, and derivatives.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to prepare focused credit papers and foster collaboration.
