We are currently recruiting for multiple Technical Operator (Tech Ops) roles to join a high-performing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment supporting assembly operations and production performance.
Available Shifts & Pay Rates:
- Day Shift: Monday - Friday - 7am-3pm
- £14.58 per hour (All roles are 40 hours per week across 5 days)
Duration: Ongoing Temporary assignment/ potentially temp to perm
Location: Peterfield
About the Role:
As a Technical Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and performance of assembly equipment. You will be working on the production floor, supporting machinery, resolving issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on maximising uptime, improving processes, and maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out machine changeovers, ensuring they are completed efficiently and in line with procedures
- Act as first responder to equipment breakdowns and communicate issues effectively
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to optimise output
- Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and root cause analysis activities
- Complete quality checks and ensure compliance with GMP, safety and QA standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and production records
- Assist with preventative maintenance and asset care activities
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and wider production teams
What We're Looking For:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or technical operations is desirable
Working Environment:
- Shop floor-based role working with manufacturing machinery
- Some manual handling required (up to 20kg)
