If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!\\n\\nPosition: Ward Host\\nLocation: Great Western Hospital, Swindon\\nContract Type: Temp to Perm\\nContract Length: 3 months (Ongoing)\\nWorking Pattern: Full Time – 7:30 – 19:30 (4 on 4 off)\\n\\nStart Date: ASAP – August 2025\\n\\nAs a Ward Host, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional food and beverage services to patients across our hospital wards.

Your warm and friendly demeanour will contribute to creating a supportive environment for those who need it most.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nMeal Ordering & Dietary Compliance:\\n\\nutilise our Trust-provided digital tablet systems to take and submit patient meal orders.\\nUnderstand and interpret dietary needs, including allergies and cultural requirements.\\nEnsure correct meal allocations by navigating dietary flags and restrictions.\\nProvide assistance to patients in selecting suitable meals. \\n\\nMeal & Beverage Service:\\n\\nPrepare and serve lunch and supper meals according to the ward's schedule.\\nConduct a minimum of five hydration rounds per shift to ensure all patients stay hydrated.\\nMaintain a clean and organised food trolley and ward pantry area.\\nServe meals attractively and at the correct temperatures, adhering to dietary safety. \\n\\nHygiene, Safety, and Compliance:\\n\\nFollow food hygiene and safety protocols diligently, including PPE use and cleaning procedures.\\nKeep accurate records of food temperatures and service times.\\nUnderstand and apply HACCP and COSHH principles in your daily duties.\\nReport any food safety or hygiene concerns to your supervisor immediately.
