Engineering Support / Parts Specialist needed for a leading energy client! Duration 6 Month Initial Contract Pay Rate Up to £23ph PAYE.

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the Energy Technology industry? Our client is seeking a passionate Materials / Parts Specialist to join their dynamic team! This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of energy while ensuring the highest standards of service and support.

Essential Experience Required:
  • Prior experience within a parts / similar position within the engineering or similar environment.
  • A diverse engineering background with experience in gas turbines and supporting equipment being a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • A self-motivated mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong collaborative skills, able to work with both internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with SAP knowledge being an advantage (but not essential).
A Snapshot of Your Day:

In this role, you'll work closely with Sales and Tendering Managers, diving into customer demands and interpreting spare quotes and orders. Your attention to detail will shine as you ensure that supplied parts are interchangeable and that supersession data is valid. You’ll create recommended spares lists for annual service requirements and provide swift support during breakdowns, keeping accurate records along the way. Your focus on process improvements will enhance the speed and accuracy of quote responses.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Identify and interpret scheduled and unscheduled parts enquiries.
  • Assist in processing chargeable spares orders and developing recommended spares lists.
  • Investigate components for suitability as spare parts, recording results for future reference.
  • Manage work in progress on spares backlog, ensuring effective communication with sourcing, engineering, and Spares Coordinators.
  • Support the Market Support team during the bid process, compiling technical engineering notes for customers.
  • Liaise with sub-suppliers and procurement to confirm the interchangeability and availability of spares.
  • React promptly to urgent customer requests during shutdowns, driving improvements in response times.
  • Collaborate effectively with your team while identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
