We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal (Housing) to join our clients legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment, supporting solicitors in housing and litigation matters while also providing administrative assistance across HR and governance functions. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in housing law, excellent IT and organisational skills, and a proactive approach to legal and administrative work. Paralegal (Housing) Public Sector – Local Authority Permanent Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch break £30,000 per annum Hybrid Working – 1 to 2 days per week in Barking, IG11 Closing Date for Applications: Friday 23rd May 2025 Key Responsibilities Assist solicitors with a range of housing-related legal matters, including disrepair, anti-social behaviour, unlawful occupation, tenancy fraud, and rent recovery. Prepare and file court bundles; attend court proceedings as required. Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation and case law. Support the legal team in maintaining accurate case files and performance data. Provide administrative support to HR and governance teams, including document management and data reporting. Contribute to the development of internal systems for monitoring KPIs and legal service delivery. Person Specification Essential: Completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent legal/advice sector experience. Demonstrable knowledge of housing law. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Desirable: Experience working with solicitor case files and time recording. Familiarity with SharePoint and data reporting tools.
