Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packing Operators to join our pharmaceutical production team. The successful candidate will work in clean rooms with pharmaceutical products and liquids, assisting in the loading and unloading of vials onto machinery. This role requires adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, regulated environment. The position is temporary and will run for the months of June and August (not including July).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery to load and unload vials in a clean room environment.
  • Monitor and inspect the packing process to ensure product quality and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Handle and prepare liquid and solid pharmaceutical products for packaging.
  • Ensure proper documentation and labelling of packed products according to company protocols.
  • Follow all safety and cleanliness protocols, including wearing and changing into the required work uniform before starting the shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work space within the clean room, following all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist with troubleshooting minor machine issues and report any technical problems to the supervisor.
  • Building and loading boxes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure production targets and timelines are met.

Gowning & Aseptic Environment Requirements:

  • During gowning into the Aseptic area, the operator is required to remove personal clothes and walk to an intermediate area wearing only underwear. (Separate changing rooms are available for employees.)
  • Strictly adhere to all gowning procedures, including wearing the provided protective work attire before entering the Aseptic environment.
  • While in the Aseptic environment, watches, jewellery, fake tan, any nail varnishes, makeup, food, drink, or personal mobile phones are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  • Smoking, chewing, or spitting is not permitted in the Aseptic environment.

  • Ability to work in clean room conditions and adhere to strict hygiene protocols.
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical products and packaging processes is preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to wear protective work attire as required by clean room standards.
  • Standing for extended periods of time during shifts.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a rotating shift pattern of 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 2:45 PM - 10:45 PM. 37.5 hours per week, with the opportunity for overtime as needed. Temporary position for the months of June and August (not including July).

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay rate: £13.28 per hour, with a 22% shift allowance, bringing the total to £16.20 per hour. 37.5 hours per week, with shift allowances applied for eligible shifts. Temporary role with the possibility of extension based on company needs.
