As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a large team of volunteers including volunteer leads ensuring an efficient customer focused service is provided. You will support in building and developing a community of volunteers including recruitment and onboarding, ensuring all volunteers have been trained, and providing guidance as required.
You will be a key driver in managing referrals and developing excellent relationships with referral partners and their organisations. You will respond to enquiries for support and ensure all food parcels are prepared to meet with any dietary requirements.
The successful incumbent will develop positive relationships with supporters including individuals, corporate and community-based supporters, organising fundraising events, managing social media accounts, facilities management, overseeing health and safety, procurement of food supplies, ensuring physical donations are recorded and dealing with any general administration tasks daily.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and empathetic individual to lead the day-to-day administration and operation of FoodBox and to make a difference to people's lives across the communities served.
What you will need to succeed:
- Demonstrable experience of managing a team effectively.
- Previous experience of working in an operations focused or office management role would be beneficial.
- Preferably experience of working or volunteering in a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to be organised and manage changing priorities.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
