BRAND NEW EXCITING OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE NOW! ⭐ Buyer Based in Oldbury £19.72 per hour Full Time |Temporary to Permanent Hours Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm EARLY FINISH FRIDAY: 8:30am - 4:00pm We're currently recruiting for an experienced 'Buyer' to join an established manufacturing business based in the Oldbury area. This is a fantastic temporary to permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, building strong supplier relationships and taking ownership of the purchasing process. The business operates within UK manufacturing, producing specialist products and solutions for commercial interiors, so you'll be joining an environment where quality, service and getting materials where they need to be on time are incredibly important. If you're commercially minded, organised and enjoy working collaboratively across different departments, this could be a brilliant next step. The role As Buyer, you'll take responsibility for supporting the purchasing requirements of the business, ensuring the right products and materials are available at the right time and at the right price. Working within a smaller team means this is very much a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, building strong supplier relationships and getting stuck in where needed. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the day-to-day purchasing of products and materials Raising and processing purchase orders accurately and efficiently Liaising with existing suppliers regarding pricing, availability and lead times Sourcing products and obtaining competitive quotations where required Negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best possible price, quality and service Monitoring outstanding purchase orders and proactively chasing deliveries Managing stock requirements and helping to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained Working closely with the sales and warehouse teams to understand purchasing requirements and priorities Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers Resolving any supplier, delivery or stock discrepancies efficiently Maintaining accurate purchasing records and updating internal systems Identifying potential opportunities for cost savings and improvements Supporting the wider team with additional duties during busy periods We're looking for someone who is: Experienced within buying, purchasing or procurement Commercially minded and confident when dealing with suppliers Comfortable negotiating on pricing, lead times and supply Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Confident managing multiple orders and priorities at once Proactive and able to identify potential issues before they become a problem A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams Comfortable working within a small, close-knit team Flexible, hands-on and willing to support colleagues when needed Looking for a role where they can potentially build a longer-term career and grow alongside the business We're particularly keen to speak with someone who has the right attitude and team mentality, and who will enjoy becoming a key part of a growing business.
