Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of information rights requests, ensuring all FOI, EIR, SAR, GDPR, and disclosure requests are logged, tracked, and responded to within statutory deadlines.
- Apply expert legislative knowledge to assess complex requests, identify and apply exemptions or exceptions, and produce legally compliant, well reasoned responses.
- Collaborate across council services, working closely with information asset owners to source accurate and high-quality data efficiently.
- Handle sensitive and complex requests, including historic SARs and cases requiring specialist knowledge (e.g. social care).
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance to officers.
