The Role
My client is looking for a practical, hands‐on Micromobility Technician to join a growing workshop operation in Northampton. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mechanical work, problem‐solving, and keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and road‐ready.
Working within a dedicated workshop environment, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preparation of e‐scooters and e‐bikes, ensuring they meet operational, safety, and quality standards before being returned to the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults on e‐scooters and e‐bikes and identify appropriate repair solutions
- Repair, service, and maintain vehicles to a consistently high standard
- Prepare vehicles and batteries for deployment, including inspection and packing
- Carry out disassembly, recycling, and end‐of‐life processing for damaged vehicles and components
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to minimise vehicle downtime
- Ensure all vehicles are released in a safe, compliant, and road‐ready condition
- Identify recurring faults and contribute ideas to improve repair processes and fleet reliability
- Support efficient and well‐organised workshop operations
