Overview
We are recruiting a Nightshift Doffing Operative to join a well established manufacturing site in Kirriemuir. This is a hands-on shop floor role focused on the safe removal, handling and movement of finished product rolls from the production process. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, physical work, takes pride in maintaining safety and organisation, and can work reliably through nightshift hours. Full training will be provided, and while forklift experience would be beneficial, it is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Doffing and Product Handling: You will be responsible for removing completed rolls from the production line and preparing them for the next stage of the process. This includes safe handling, positioning and transfer of finished products.
- Movement of Finished Rolls: You will move finished rolls to designated storage or dispatch areas, either manually or using handling equipment where trained. A forklift may be used by authorised operators, but this is not a requirement for the role.
