What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Commercial Project Managers to identify, evaluate, and assess risks and opportunities.
- Take ownership of subcontract administration on a day-to-day basis.
- Manage final account settlements for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure timely submission of contractual notifications.
- Provide accurate financial updates on subcontractor and key supplier accounts.
- Attend project meetings with site teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Oversee Project Change Management and Claims relating to main contracts and subcontracts.
- Offer contractual advice to the project team to ensure successful execution.
- Support procurement by advising on and drafting contractual terms for subcontract work packages.
- Liaise with our legal team to review and evaluate terms aligned with customer contracts.
- Identify, evaluate, and follow up on events relevant to claims and compensation.
- Collect and manage claim particulars for submissions to/from customers and subcontractors.
- Defend incoming and outgoing claims, ensuring proper documentation and evidence is collated.
- Build positive relationships with customers and proactively implement digital solutions for efficient project execution.
- Continuously develop and improve contract and claim management processes.
Who You Are
- Experience in Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, or commercial project management.
- Familiarity with various Construction and Engineering Forms of Contract, especially NEC and FIDIC.
- Strong project budgeting and financial management skills.
- Chartered Quantity Surveyor status (RICS/CICES) is advantageous.
- Competence in claim management and an understanding of contract law principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
