Casual HGV Refuse Collection Driver / Loader to join a team of valued key workers and help make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in. Offering a fantastic work-life balance! With pre-planned routes and set start and finish times, there are no nasty surprises or late finishes, leaving you with plenty of time to spend with your family and friends.

As a HGV Refuse Collection Driver, you'll:

  • Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job
  • Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal
  • Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed
  • Complete relevant paperwork in real time
  • Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use
  • Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles
  • Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users

Your typical working hours will be: 6am to 4pm, Tuesday - Friday - Overtime available on Monday.

What you'll need to do the role:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
  • Driver CPC
  • Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Willingness to undertake tasks
  • Clean drivers licence
  • Previous relevant experience desirable, but not essential
