This role is fully on-site based in Milton Keynes and it is required for individuals to have a current DV clearance or be eligible to go through the process.
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on high availability, performance, and resilience. This role provides advanced technical leadership across routing, switching, firewall administration, and network security operations. The engineer serves as an escalation point for complex issues involving Cisco switching platforms, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), and Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls, Catepan encryption devices.
Experience required:
- Experience in support and design in highly secure airgapped environments.
- Cisco Switching, Routing technologies
- Network Security technologies - IPsec, SSL, VPNs, PKI
- Cisco Firepower/ASA Firewall installation and Administration
- Palo Alto Firewalls/Panorama installation and administration.
- Knowledge of NSX-T platform
- Knowledge of Virtual Environments and virtual network solutions (ie VMWare)
- Network monitoring and configuration tools - SolarWinds NCM, PRTG, KIWI
- Encryption Devices - Catapans, Bulldogs
- Cisco VTC technologies, CUCM, CSM, CMM, Expressways, Deskpro's
- Copper/Fibre Optic patching
