The Role
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop Assistant to support weekend manufacturing operations at our Gillingham site. This role involves assisting with fabrication, assembly, and general workshop activities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out project-specific manufacturing activities during weekend shifts
- Fit and assemble parts using hand tools
- Undertake basic fabrication tasks including measuring, drilling, and cutting
- Follow work instructions and drawings, reporting any discrepancies
- Conduct quality checks before and after manufacturing processes
- Assist with site opening and closing duties
- Adhere to all Health, Safety and internal manufacturing procedures
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and tasks are carried out safely and correctly
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and performance
- Maintain high-quality standards at all times
