About the Role: In this exciting fixed-term contract position, you will work full-time in a dynamic laboratory environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the quality of materials and components that contribute to our exceptional products. This role requires a collaborative spirit as you will liaise with various teams across the organisation, ensuring our high standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Part Assurance: Evaluate and assess materials selection and production techniques for a range of components. Materials Testing: Write and execute technical testing specifications to maintain quality and compliance with industry standards. Failure Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of component failures, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management. Supplier Collaboration: Engage with suppliers to evaluate their material capabilities and ensure high-quality submissions. Laboratory Activities: Support routine testing programmes and develop innovative solutions to enhance product quality.What We\’re Looking For: Education: Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field, along with relevant experience in the automotive sector as a bonus.Skills: – Expertise in materials testing and specification. – Proficiency with laboratory equipment and failure analysis techniques. – Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.
