We are seeking a dedicated Site Manager to join our vibrant educational community on a temporary‑to‑permanent contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance, cleaning and security of school premises.
- Lead a team of cleaners to maintain excellent cleanliness standards.
- Manage site security: lock/unlock entrances and monitor alarm systems.
- Conduct daily risk assessments and fire safety drills.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance work with external contractors.
- Facilitate community events outside normal school hours, including weekends.
- Maintain the asset register and manage consumables.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming environment.
Essential Skills
- NVQ Level 2 in a relevant discipline (Caretaking, Cleaning) or equivalent.
- Health & Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle due to key holder duties.
Required Experience
- Proven experience in cleaning and maintaining buildings, ideally in an educational setting.
- Experience securing buildings and managing alarm systems.
- DIY/handy person skills.
- Previous caretaking or grounds maintenance experience, preferably in a school environment.
