Job Purpose:
As a Refuse Loader, you\'ll assist in the collection and disposal of household, commercial, and recyclable waste, ensuring we operate in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner. You will work closely with your team to collect waste according to scheduled routes and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load refuse, recycling, and garden waste into collection vehicles.
- Operate bin lifts and other equipment safely, adhering to training guidelines.
- Collect waste from designated locations and ensure it\'s returned neatly.
- Assist the driver in navigating routes and identifying collection points.
- Report any issues such as missed collections, damaged bins, or contamination.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Support the team in completing the daily round efficiently.
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and cleaning duties as required.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
