The Role

We are recruiting for a Product Specialist for our client to support our Commercial and Sales teams by providing accurate product, specification and pricing information. This is an internal, non‑sales role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with industrial products, technical data and suppliers. The role plays a key part in helping the business win new contracts by ensuring the correct products are sourced, specifications are accurate, pricing is competitive and all technical documentation is in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and source industrial products to detailed customer specifications
  • Identify and liaise with suitable suppliers to obtain product, pricing and technical information
  • Compare product specifications across multiple suppliers and recommend the best options
  • Prepare accurate product and pricing information for quotations and tenders
  • Compile and manage technical documentation including MSDS, Technical Data Sheets and Certificates
  • Respond to customer technical queries and follow issues through to resolution
  • Support contract mobilisation by ensuring products are correctly set up in the ERP system
  • Review, organise and evaluate product samples to ensure quality and technical standards are met
  • Monitor competitor product ranges, pricing and promotional activity
  • Work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to ensure accuracy and continuity

  • A degree or equivalent qualification
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured and organised approach
  • Confidence dealing with both suppliers and customers
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • A proactive, assertive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and see tasks through
