Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Days & Shift Opportunities Available We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to join a busy heavy industrial operation. Working as part of an established engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining plant performance, improving reliability and minimising downtime across the site. Available Positions Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Days) Monday to Friday 07:45 - 17:00 Salary: £42,770 - £50,620 Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (4 on 4 Off) 06:00 - 18:00 Salary: £48,822 - £54,452 The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and reliability of a wide range of industrial plant and equipment. This is a hands-on position requiring a proactive approach to fault finding, repairs and continuous improvement activities. Location: Manchester Key Responsibilities Deliver routine and scheduled maintenance activities to maximise plant availability and reliability. Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and implement effective repairs. Carry out servicing, overhaul and refurbishment of mechanical systems and site assets. Support operational teams by resolving plant issues quickly and efficiently. Conduct inspections on critical equipment and proactively identify potential failures. Replace and repair mechanical components including bearings, chains, rollers, gearboxes, motors and drive systems. Assist with machinery upgrades, plant modifications and engineering improvement projects. Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's maintenance management system. Work closely with colleagues and contractors to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently. Contribute ideas and solutions to improve equipment performance, reliability and site productivity. Ensure all tasks are completed in line with health, safety and environmental standards. Participate in shutdown activities, major repairs and planned engineering works as required.
