The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven and analytically minded finance professional. The successful candidate will take ownership of financial reporting, data analysis, and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. You’ll play a key role in evaluating performance, supporting budgeting cycles, and preparing high-quality financial insights for senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse historical and current financial performance to highlight trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
  • Build, develop, and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Track and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Support business cases, investment decisions, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing and managing the annual budgeting process.
  • Collaborate with teams across finance, operations, and other business units to ensure data accuracy.
  • Evaluate profitability, cost structures, and pricing strategies.
  • Produce clear financial presentations and management reports.
  • Consolidate group results and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Review financial statements and disclosures for interim and year‑end reporting.
  • Facilitate a smooth and timely external audit process.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers where required.

Person Specification

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • 2–5 years’ experience in financial analysis, reporting, or planning.
  • Advanced financial modelling and data analysis skills.
  • Strong Excel capability and familiarity with financial/BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS is beneficial.

Salary, Hours & Benefits

  • Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience.
  • 37-hour week (Mon–Fri) with flexible start/finish variations.
  • Hybrid working pattern (3 days office / 2 days remote) available after probation.
  • 23 days holiday, rising to 26 with service, plus bank holidays.

  • Option to buy back up to 3 days' holiday annually after 1 year.
