Overview
Estimating Administrator (Temp to Perm)
Salary: £28,000pa
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm (30-minute lunch)
Responsibilities
- Enquiry Handling: Answer incoming telephone and email enquiries. Capture essential details and understand project requirements. Allocate enquiries to the correct person/team based on type, scale, and value. Maintain a professional, customer-focused first impression.
- Internal Coordination: Log and track enquiries through internal systems. Monitor progress of estimates and ensure internal deadlines are followed. Liaise with Contract Managers once costings are completed. Ensure key dates, quote timescales, and follow-up tasks are met.
- Quotation Support: Prepare and issue quotation documents once approved. Follow up on quotes to check status and gather feedback. Keep accurate records of all quotations and outcomes.
- General Administration: Provide admin support across the estimating and operational teams. Handle document control, data entry, filing, and scheduling as required.

- Experience in administration, customer service, sales support, or similar.
- Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
