Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer
Duration: Initial 3 month contract
Location: On-site full time - North West England
Pay Rate: Β£150 per day
Our client is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Engineer to join their dynamic team and assist users with their IT needs and ensuring smooth functionality across various systems and devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional technical support to end users, addressing issues related to desktops, laptops, and corporate mobile devices (including iPhones, Android phones, and iPads).
- Utilise ITSM tools to manage service requests efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Deploy and manage software applications using SCCM, ensuring that all systems are up to date and functioning optimally.
- Assist with network printing solutions, specifically, ensuring proper setup and troubleshooting of printing issues.
- Leverage Tanium for endpoint management and visibility, contributing to a secure and well-maintained IT environment.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Perform port patching and basic networking tasks as required, maintaining a stable network environment.
- Engage with non-technical users effectively, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Prioritise and manage multiple service requests in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that critical issues are addressed promptly.
- Embrace ITIL processes and methodologies to continuously improve IT service delivery and enhance user experiences.
