My client based in Manchester are looking for a DBA on an initial 12 month contract inside of IR35. You will be working on a hybrid basis of which you will be required to be on site for 2 days a week. This however has the potential to be reviewed after an initial period.
You will be involved in a new and exciting project, working alongside the internal IT team and suppliers, and will be involved in the implementation, configuration and support of a new data obfuscation tool. You will also help set up the process to clone and mask live data into non-production databases.
- Experience of having set up and running masking/obfuscating/subsetting data from production to non-production databases, using 3rd party masking tools and associated algorithmic rules.
- Proficient in Database Administration (Oracle, MySQL), Cloning Large databases from production to Development and Test systems, Backup and Recovery.
- Experience in Obfuscating/Masking/subsetting of data in large enterprise systems.
- Experience of installing, configuring third party Obfuscating/Masking tools.
- Experience of DevOps Tools - Particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience on implementation and configuration of Java based APIs.
- Hands on experience of infrastructure hardware and architecture.
- Understanding of Sun Solaris, Linux and Windows based operating systems.
- Experience of working with Networking protocols, firewall rules, RBAC, TLS setup and TSS security standards.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of colleagues across IT as well as with business stakeholders. Ability to prioritise work and the work of other individuals and groups. You should also be able to deal with complex problems and provide creative solutions to them.
