Location: Ashford, Kent
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am - 4pm
Overview
You will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring production machinery to ensure the efficient manufacture of products. You will play a key role in maintaining quality, consistency and safety standards while supporting the smooth running of the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery to ensure smooth production flow.
- Ensure the site is audit ready at all times.
- Ensure thorough cleaning of machinery to avoid contamination.
- Follow production schedules and meet targets for output and efficiency.
- Pack finished product in accordance with customer specification.
- Adhere to safety guidelines including correct handling of materials and use of protective equipment.
- Report any incidents or issues immediately.
- Carry out machine start-up, changeover and shutdown procedures.
- Conduct regular quality checks on finished products.
- Identify defects and non-conformance\'s.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
- Maintain safety protocols and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Accurately complete production paperwork and records.
Experience and skills required
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a FMCG environment.
- Ability to operate production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to different tasks as required.
